Surface preparation (most critical step)
Cleaning: high pressure fresh water rinse to remove salt, sludge, grease and loose old coating. rust removal: use sandblasting (shot blasting/sanding), power tools, chemical cleaning and other methods to treat the steel to the specified cleanliness standard (such as sa2.5, st3 grade), and form a certain roughness to enhance the coating adhesion. environmental control: monitor and control the temperature, humidity and dew point of steel plate in the construction environment to ensure that it meets the requirements of paint technical specifications.
Routine inspection and assessment
Visual inspection: check the deck plate, aggregate (beam, longitudinal bone), hatch coaming, etc. for rust, crack, deformation and depression. thickness measurement and non-destructive testing: use ultrasonic thickness gauge to measure the thickness of steel plate, and use magnetic particle inspection (mt) and ultrasonic inspection (ut) to check the cracks and fatigue damage of welds and base metals. condition assessment: based on the inspection results, assess the degree of corrosion, loss of structural strength, and develop a maintenance level plan.
Preventive maintenance services
