Deck structure maintenance Routine inspection and assessment
Visual inspection: check the deck plate, aggregate (beam, longitudinal bone), hatch coaming, etc. for rust, crack, deformation and depression. thickness measurement and non-destructive testing: use ultrasonic thickness gauge to measure the thickness of steel plate, and use magnetic particle inspection (mt) and ultrasonic inspection (ut) to check the cracks and fatigue damage of welds and base metals. condition assessment: based on the inspection results, assess the degree of corrosion, loss of structural strength, and develop a maintenance level plan.
